Group Managing Director
Ian has over 25 Years’ experience in banking and private equity through several Senior Executive roles within the SA financial sector and the broader Africa Region. His most recent roles in the Banking Sector were as a senior executive within the HSBC Africa Business in his capacity as HSBC'S Managing Director, Acting CEO and Head of Global Banking (Corporate and Investment Banking) for Africa. Subsequent to his time in the banking sector, Ian was also a Co-founder and Director of a Broad Based Black Economic Empowered Asset Management Company and a Financial Advisory Business.
Ian has joined Choice properties as an Investor and in the capacity as Managing Director in the business to concentrate on his passion for the real estate sector and to assist in building out the Choice Brand and Coverage model.

With over 15 years of real estate franchise ownership and a Master Property Practitioner qualification, I’ve been navigating the property landscape since 2009 after a solid 13-year run in corporate banking focused on client service.
Now, I am challenging my passion and experience into building Choice Properties as brand in the Cape Winelands, where I will be recruiting sales and rental agents who live and breathe real estate as much as I do. My secret superpower? The uncanny ability to slip into the shoes of every client I meet, making connections that go beyond contracts.
When I am not matching people with their dream homes or recruiting top-tier agents, you’ll find me painting miniature house apparently property is in my DNA and I just can’t get enough! I am also a keen golfer, analytic thinker and a no-nonsense, task driven professional who believes procrastination is the enemy of progress. Jeni values and offers superior service to sellers and buyers alike. She loves to work by referral, and has been delighted over the years to re-sell properties as they come back on the market from existing clients. She has been a high achiever in the sales environment in her previous post.
Jeni has a corporate background, spending many years in the local Banking environment with FNB and Payments with MasterCard, and was very involved in Customer Relationship Management at a Corporate Level. She won the Regional Sales Award for sales and customer relationship growth whilst at Mastercard.

I spent eight years in Scotland, where I was the Managing Director of my own property letting company. This international experience provides a unique and valuable perspective on the rental landscape and my ability to navigate both local and global property trends.
In addition to my extensive real estate background, I am a certified Assessor and Moderator with Services SETA and QCTO governing bodies in South Africa, enabling me to further contribute to the professional development and training of estate agents in the sales and rental arenas.
